Did you purchase a new OPN-2001 time-recording pocket scanner?

By default, these do not yet have proper settings as far as date and time are concerned. In addition, a number of things also need to be set in order to read the scanners with the IAMD middleware application. Read here how to install the IAMD middleware.

Follow the instructions below to configure it correctly

Install the OPN-2001 PC Application via https://opticon.com/product/opn-2001/
Open this application OPN200x

Press 'Set Time' and then 'Get Time' to verify that the date and time is set correctly

Press 'Device options'

Make sure 'UPC Supps' is set to '2 - Auto-D'

Make sure 'Delete Enable' is set to '0 - Delete Off / Clear all OFF / Set default OFF'

Press 'Apply' now and then close this window via the cross in the upper right corner

As a final step, press 'Get barcodes' and then 'Delete barcodes'. After that, you can check again if the scanner is effectively empty by pressing 'Get barcodes' again
