How to use my personal e-mail address?

To send emails in IAMD ERP, you first need to connect to your email provider. Find out how to do this in this article.

Open your profile. Go to the 'Connections' tab.

To allow IAMD ERP to send emails from your personal email address, a connection must be established between IAMD and your email provider.

We currently support two email providers:

  • Microsoft Office 365

  • Google G-Suite

Once connected, you will be able to send emails using your personal email address. These emails will also appear in your Sent Items.

Creating a connection

  1. Select the appropriate provider.

  2. You will be redirected to the login screen of Microsoft or Google, depending on your choice.

  3. Log in with your Office or Google account.

  4. You will then be redirected back to your IAMD ERP environment with a message confirming that the connection was successful.

Adjust which data within the connection may be used (optional)

Reopen the created connection via your profile. You can specify whether this account may be used for reading the calendar, sending emails, and possibly managing files—if your document management is handled via SharePoint or Google Drive.

This step is necessary because it's common to link multiple email addresses. For example, you might want to send emails from accounting@yourcompany.com while sending personal emails from your own personal email address.

In this case, you would enable the 'Email' option for the connection with accounting@yourcompany.com but disable it for Calendar and Files.

Choose a default email account

If you create multiple email connections, don't forget to mark one of your email connections as the 'Default email account'. This way, you won't be required to select an email account each time you send an email from the system.

You will now see that when you send, for example, a quote, the 'From' field is automatically filled in.

Messages sent from the platform will always appear in the Sent Items of your mailbox.
