This article explains how to prepare a work order correctly, focusing on site selection, client and project selection, and adding materials and records, such as time and transportation.

Step 1: Basic Information of the Work Order-Completion

  • Branch Office
Note the branch office for which you are creating the work order, as this affects the inventory and billing processes.

  • Customer and Project
Choose the customer and project on which the materials and costs will be booked. This ensures that all costs are allocated correctly.

Step 2: Add materials

  • Material tab
Go to the Material tab on the work order to add consumed materials.

  • Preparation
You can prepare the required materials in advance, if needed.

  • More information
For detailed instructions on adding materials, see our helpdesk article on stock transactions via work orders.

Step 3: Invoicing Options Setup

When adding materials, hourly records and transportation records, you can specify how they should be billed later.

Step 4: Replenishment via Fieldapp

Fieldapp Use
Work orders are often further supplemented with materials, timekeeping and transportation records via our mobile FieldApp.
